Turfing is a quick and easy way to get a great lawn in your garden without the trouble of having to spread grass seeds, protect and nurture them and constantly water them.  We offer turfing services to clients across Tunbridge Wells who want to renew their lawn or want a new area of grass turf to create a fresh lawn area.

Benefits of turfing

Turfing is ideal when you want a lawn area but can’t keep everyone off the space for 2-3 weeks – the time it takes for grass to really grow.  Grass turf is normal grass, but it is has been grown to a certain point and is installed in your garden as a ready to go lawn.  And because it is already to a certain point, you don’t have to constantly fight with the local birds who run off with your grass seeds!

New turf is often laid in mid-autumn but can be done at almost any time of the year.  We tend to recommend avoiding the frosty periods because this can damage the tur before it has had a chance to settle down.

Preparing for turf

Our service involves preparing for turf by getting the space ready and ensuring that there are no weeds waiting to cause problems.  Once the area is prepared, we can lay the turf and ensure it is finished to help stimulate natural growth.  We will also let you know what you need to do to ensure it grows well going forward.
